Jellyfish Series - #5

The 5th in my Jellyfish series. I used more of the hardwood plywood in the bell of this piece than I have in the past. I wanted to incorporate the layered effect in the pattern on the outside of the bell. I chose to be quite subtle with the coloring as well, using a light yellow and blue. In much of the detail work, I only applied blue to the outside of the dowel so that I was effectively left with a blue ring instead of a solid dot. This was a new approach for me that I am excited to use in other projects. I also chose to use stainless steel rather than copper for the tentacles. I'm not sure if I prefer one over the other, but I am very happy with the way it looks.
